Access Medical Labs' urine tests measure the excretion of various metals, elements, or other biomarkers in the urine. They are used to evaluate and monitor various diseases. These instructions are for a random collection.

Do not drink excessive water during the test period.

Refrigerate your samples until you are ready to ship them.
Ship your samples via UPS as soon as possible.
Preparation & Timing
Avoid seafood for 72 hours prior to collection.
Do not drink excessive water during the test period.
No more than eight 8 oz glasses of water during a 24-hour testing period.
Collection Instructions
These instructions are for a random collection.
Collect your first morning urination in the provided collection cup.
You must collect at least 120 mL (4 oz).
Use the provided pipette to transfer urine into the specimen tube(s). If your kit did not come with tubes, skip to step 6.
Fill all tubes that have been provided. Some tests require more than others.
Tighten the cap on the tube(s).
Discard the remaining urine.
Write the following information on each tube (or the urine cup if you don't have tubes).
Your full name
The date of collection
Discard the collection materials.
Place the specimen container into the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag in the refrigerator until you are ready to ship it.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
Refrigerate your samples until you are ready to ship.
To ship your samples,
Place the specimen container (tubes or cup) in the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag and completed test requisition form into the test kit box.
Place the test kit box in the provided UPS mailer.
Ship your samples via UPS as soon as possible.
Take the samples to the nearest store.
Make a note of the tracking number so that you can track your samples back to the lab.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 1-6 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
