The Advanced Adrenal Stress Test measures several adrenal hormones and immunoglobulins to analyze adrenal function.
Key Details
You will collect four samples throughout one day.
DO NOT take steroids for 72 hours prior to and during sample collection.
DO NOT take DHEA on the morning of sample collection.
DO NOT eat or drink anything but water for 1 hour prior to each of your sample collections.
Collect and ship your samples Monday - Thursday only.

Your first sample collection should be done within 30 minutes of waking.
Collection Instructions
Collection Schedule
Collection 1: Collect within 30 minutes of waking.
Collection 2: Collect at lunchtime.
Collection 2 must be at least 4 hours after Collection 1.
Collection 3: Collect at dinnertime.
Collection 3 must be at least 4 hours after Collection 2.
Collection 4: Collect at bedtime.
Collection 4 must be at least 4 hours after Collection 3.
Collection Instructions
DO NOT eat or drink anything but water for 1 hour prior to sample collection.
Rinse your mouth with water immediately before collecting the samples.
Remove the cap from one tube.
Remove the cotton plug.
DO NOT remove the suspended insert.
Place the cotton plug in your mouth.
Gently chew the cotton plug for 1-2 minutes.
Chew until the cotton is fully saturated.
Place the cotton plug back inside the tube.
Write the patient's first and last name, date of birth, the date of collection, and the time of collection on the sample tube using a permanent marker.
Place the sample tube in the refrigerator until ready to ship.
Repeat steps 1-9 for each of the four sample collections.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
Samples should be shipped as soon as possible, Monday - Thursday only.
To prepare your samples for shipping,
Ensure all tubes are properly labeled.
Place the sample tubes inside the biohazard bag.
Seal the bag.
Place the completed test requisition form in the outer pocket of the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag in the envelope.
Seal the envelope.
Place the envelope in the box.
Place the box in the lab mailing pack.
Seal the lab mailing pack and attach the return label.
Make a note of your tracking number so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
Take your samples to the shipping carrier's storefront location or call them to schedule a pickup.
DO NOT place your samples in a drop box.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 7-14 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
