The Precision Dietary SIgA test measures salivary levels of secretory IgA (SIgA) antibodies to 88 different foods.

Key Details

  • You will collect four samples.

  • Do not eat or drink anything for 20 minutes prior to your sample collection.

  • Collect and ship your samples Monday - Thursday only.

Preparation & Timing

  • Do not eat or drink anything for 20 minutes prior to your sample collection.

  • You will collect all four samples at the same time.

Collection Instructions

  1. DO NOT eat or drink anything for 20 minutes prior to sample collection.

  2. Remove the cap from one tube.

  3. Remove the cotton plug.

    1. DO NOT remove the suspended insert.

  4. Place the cotton plug in your mouth.

  5. Gently chew the cotton plug for 1-2 minutes.

    1. Chew until the cotton is fully saturated.

  6. Place the cotton plug back inside the tube.

  7. Repeat steps 2-6 for the other 3 tubes.

  8. Write the following information on each of the four sample tubes using a permanent marker.

    1. Patient's first and last name

    2. Patient's date of birth

    3. Date of collection

  9. Place the sample tubes in the refrigerator until ready to ship.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

  • Instructions on how to fill out your requisition can be found HERE.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

Shipping

  • Samples should be shipped as soon as possible, Monday - Thursday only.

  • To prepare your samples for shipping,

    • Ensure all tubes are properly labeled.

    • Place the sample tubes inside the biohazard bag.

    • Seal the biohazard bag.

    • Place the completed test requisition form into the outer pocket of the biohazard bag.

    • Place the biohazard bag into the test kit box.

    • Place the test kit box into the lab mailing pack.

    • Seal the lab mailing pack and attach the return label.

  • Make a note of your tracking number so that you can track your sample back to the lab.

  • Take your samples to the shipping carrier's storefront location or call them to schedule a pickup.

    • DO NOT place your samples in a drop box.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-14 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.

  • Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
