The 88 Food Allergy and Sensitivity Test (FAST) measures immune reactions to 88 common food antigens. The 88 IgE Environmental Allergy Test measures immune reactions to 88 common environmental antigens. These tests are used to help diagnose food and environmental allergies and sensitivities.

Key Details

  • 🏥 Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist, Monday - Thursday only.

  • 💰 You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • 💊 Avoid steroids such as prednisone for at least one week before sample collection.

  • 🧊 You must freeze the provided ice pack for 4 hours before sample collection.

Preparation & Timing

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist, Monday - Thursday only.

  • Avoid steroids for at least one week before sample collection.

Collection Instructions

  3. Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.

    1. Test kit

    2. Frozen ice pack

    3. Completed test requisition form

  4. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

📄 How to Complete Your Requisition

Shipping

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your samples back to the lab.

  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

    • Samples must be shipped Monday - Thursday only.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 14 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
