This test detects SARS-CoV-2 to assist in the diagnosis of COVID-19 infections.
Key Details
You must avoid certain activities for 30 minutes prior to sample collection.
You must ship your sample the same day you collect it.
Ship your sample Monday - Friday only.
Preparation & Timing
Avoid the following activities for 30 minutes prior to sample collection.
Eating
Drinking
Smoking
Brushing your teeth
Using mouthwash
Chewing gum
Using nasal sprays
Collection Instructions
Write the following information on the provided label.
Patient's name
Patient's date of birth
Place the label on the sample tube.
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Dry your hands with a clean towel.
Remove all materials from the collection kit.
Position the funnel (if provided) into the collection tube.
The funnel is used to help guide saliva into the collection tube. It is not necessary for collection.
Swallow once to clear your mouth.
Allow saliva to collect in your mouth.
DO NOT cough or sniff during this time.
To assist with saliva production,
Think about your favorite food
Yawn
Smell food
Gently release your saliva into the tube.
DO NOT spit or force the saliva into the tube.
Collect enough saliva to fill the tube halfway (excluding bubbles).
Remove the funnel from the collection tube (if you used it).
Screw the cap tightly back on the tube.
Place the closed sample tube into the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag into the provided mailer.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
A requisition form will be included in your test kit. Fill in your personal information and ship it back with the sample.

Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
Ship your sample the same day you collect it, Monday - Friday only.
To prepare your sample for shipping,
Place the closed sample tube into the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag into the provided mailer.
Place the completed test requisition form into the provided mailer.
Seal the mailer.
Make a note of the tracking number on the return label so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
Take your sample to the nearest shipping facility.
DO NOT place your sample in a drop box.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 1-6 business days after your sample is received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
