The Vibrant Wellness Food Zoomers analyze IgG and IgA antibodies to various foods to determine food sensitivities. These tests do not determine food allergies. The Vibrant Wellness Food Component Zoomers analyze IgE antibodies to determine food allergies. These instructions apply to the Food Zoomers, Food Component Zoomers, and the Food Zoomer add-ons.

Key Details 

  • These instructions apply to the following tests:
    • Food Zoomers: Wheat, Lectin, Soy, Seafood, Peanut, Nut, Egg, Dairy, Corn, Mammalian Milk, Grain
    • Food Component Zoomers: Peanut, Egg, Milk
    • Food Zoomer Add-Ons
  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist. 
    • Information about scheduling a blood draw can be found HERE
    • You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
  • If you are currently taking (or have recently taken) certain medications, consult your healthcare provider regarding the timing of collection.
  • Your test kit may come with more tubes than needed. Please have the phlebotomist check the collection instructions and your test requisition form to determine the correct tubes to draw.
  • You must fill out the Testing Release Form and return it with your samples.

Preparation & Timing

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist. 
    • Information about scheduling a blood draw can be found HERE
    • Vibrant Wellness-recommended blood draw locations can be found HERE.
  • Freeze the provided ice packs for at least 24 hours prior to your blood draw.
  • If you are currently taking (or have recently taken) any of the following medications, consult your healthcare provider regarding the timing of collection.
    • Steroids
    • Immunosuppressive medications
    • Biologic agents
    • Other immunomodulating medications

Collection Instructions

  1. Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.
    1. Test kit
    2. Frozen ice packs
    3. Completed test requisition form 
  2. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.
    1. Your test kit may come with more tubes than needed. Please have the phlebotomist check the collection instructions HERE and your test requisition form to determine the correct tubes to draw.
  3. Please be sure to fill out the Testing Release Form (you can find this paper in the same place as your requisition form).

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
  • Instructions on how to fill out your requisition can be found HERE.
    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

Shipping

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-14 days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time. 
  • Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together. 
  • Your provider may choose to release your results to you. Rupa cannot release your results without provider authorization.
