Key Details
You must avoid certain medications prior to and during sample collection.
Do not collect while menstruating or actively bleeding from hemorrhoids.
Ship samples as soon as possible, Monday - Friday only.
Do not leave your samples in a FedEx drop box.
Preparation & Timing
Avoid probiotic supplements for 2 weeks prior to and during sample collection.
Avoid the following medications for 3 days prior to and during sample collection.
Antibiotics
Antifungals
Avoid the following medications for 2 days prior to and during sample collection.
Aspirin
NSAIDs
Digestive enzymes
Antacids
Please consult your healthcare provider prior to discontinuing any medications.
Do not collect while menstruating.
Do not collect while actively bleeding from hemorrhoids.
Collection Instructions
Write the patient's name, date of birth, and the date of collection on the sample vials.
Urinate prior to collection.
Collect stool in the supplied collection container.
Do NOT contaminate the stool with urine or water.
It may help to put plastic wrap over the toilet and then place the collection container on top of the plastic. You could also collect your sample on the plastic wrap.
Put on the glove.
Remove the cap from the YELLOW top vial.
If the liquid preservative in the vial does not reach the middle, call Doctor's Data customer service for assistance.
Do NOT touch or discard the preservative in the vial.
Use the attached spoon to transfer the stool into the vial.
Collect from different areas of the sample.
Add enough stool until the liquid and stool reach the FILL LINE.
Do NOT overfill.
Screw the cap on tightly.
Shake the vial vigorously for 30 seconds.
Place the YELLOW top vial in the ziplock bag.
Place the ziplock bag in the cardboard test kit box.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
Ship as soon as possible after collection, Monday - Friday only.
If you cannot ship immediately after collection, place the YELLOW top vial in the refrigerator until ready to ship.
To prepare your samples for shipping,
Place the YELLOW top vial into the test kit box.
Place the completed test requisition form into the test kit box and close.
Place the test kit box in the provided, prepaid FedEx Clinical Pak mailer.
Fill in the Billable Stamp.
Make a note of the tracking number so that you can track your samples back to the lab.
Ship via FedEx.
To schedule a FedEx pickup, call 1-800-463-3339.
When the automated greeting begins, say, “Schedule a pickup.”
When asked if your label has the word “Stamp” on it, say, “Yes.”
Let them know you are shipping using a Billable Stamp.
Your tracking number can be found on the Return Label.
Do NOT place your samples in a FedEx drop box.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 3-8 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
