Key Details 

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist Monday - Thursday only. 
    • Information about scheduling a blood draw can be found here
    • You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
  • Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw. Bring it to your blood draw.
  • Eat a variety of foods for 2-3 weeks prior to your blood draw.
  • If you take glucocorticosteroids, chemotherapy, immunosuppressive agents, or NSAIDs, speak to your healthcare practitioner regarding timing. 
  • The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

  • Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw. 
    • You must bring this with you to your blood draw.
  • Eat a variety of foods for 2-3 weeks prior to your blood draw.
  • Please speak to your healthcare practitioner regarding timing if you take the following medications: glucocorticosteroids, chemotherapy, immunosuppressive agents, or NSAIDs. 
  • If you have liver damage or HIV infection, your test results may be inaccurate.

Collection Instructions

  1. Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw.
  2. Bring the test kit, frozen freezer brick, and completed test requisition form with you to your blood draw appointment. 
  3. Your blood draw can only be done Monday - Thursday.
  4. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
  • Instructions on how to fill out your requisition can be found here (insurance pay) and here (cash pay).
    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

Shipping

  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time. 
  • Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together. 
  • Your provider may choose to release your results to you. Rupa cannot release your results without provider authorization.
