The Organix® Basic Profile (w/o Dysbiosis Markers) offers insight into a patient's cellular metabolic processes and metabolic efficiency.

Key Details

  • You can continue taking all of your nutritional supplements.

  • Decrease your fluid intake 24 hours prior to collection.

  • Do not collect while menstruating.

  • Ship your samples within 24 hours of collection.

  • Rupa Health recommends shipping Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.

Preparation & Timing

  • You can continue taking all of your nutritional supplements.

  • Decrease your fluid intake 24 hours prior to collection.

    • Adults should drink no more than 24 oz of fluids during the 24 hours prior to collection.

    • Drink no more than 8 oz of fluids after 8:00 pm the night before collection.

  • Do not collect while menstruating.

Collection Instructions

  1. Using a permanent marker, write the following information on the clear-cap vial.

    1. Your first and last name

    2. Your date of birth

    3. Your gender

    4. The date of collection

  2. Empty your bladder before going to bed at night.

    1. DO NOT collect this urine.

  3. If you wake to urinate during the night, collect this urine in a clean container (not provided).

  4. Collect your first morning urine in a clean collection container (not provided).

    1. You can use the same container you used at night.

  5. If you have two containers of urine, mix the urine by gently pouring urine back and forth several times between the two containers.

  6. Pipette urine into the clear-cap plastic vial.

    1. Urine should reach the 12 mL mark.

    2. DO NOT overfill.

    3. If you have two collection containers, you can pipette urine from just one container.

  7. Screw the vial's top on tightly.

  8. Dispose of any remaining urine.

  9. Place the clear-cap vial and ice pack in the freezer.

    1. The vial and ice pack should remain in the freezer until you are ready to ship your samples.

  10. Complete the test registration (instructions HERE).

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

  • Instructions on how to fill out your requisition can be found HERE.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

Shipping

  • Ship your samples within 24 hours of collection.

  • Rupa Health recommends shipping Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.

  • To prepare your samples for shipping,

    • Remove the urine sample from the freezer.

    • Place the frozen urine sample into the biohazard bag.

    • Place the frozen ice pack and the absorbent pad into the biohazard bag.

    • Place the completed activation card into the side pocket of the biohazard bag.

    • Place the biohazard bag into the specimen kit box.

    • Place the specimen kit box into the provided return mailer.

  • Make a note of the tracking number so that you can track your sample back to the lab.

  • Ship your samples via FedEx.

    • You can take your samples to the nearest FedEx location.

    • Do NOT place your samples in a drop box.

    • You can also schedule a FedEx pickup by calling 1-800-463-3339 or visiting their website www.fedex.com.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.

  • Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.

  • Your provider may choose to release your results to you. Rupa cannot release your results without provider authorization.
