The Elemental Analysis test assesses blood levels of mineral and toxic elements acquired through either chronic or acute exposure.
Key Details
Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
Rupa Health recommends getting your blood drawn and sample shipped Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.
You must fast overnight (at least 8 hours) prior to your blood draw.
The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.
Preparation & Timing

Avoid the following items for 4 days prior to your blood draw.
Nonessential medications
Supplements
Nutrient-fortified foods/beverages
Do not discontinue any prescription medications/products without consulting your healthcare provider.
Avoid eating seafood for 24 hours prior to your blood draw.
The day before the blood draw:
You must fast overnight (at least 8 hours).
You must freeze the included freezer brick for a minimum of 8 hours. Bring it with you to the blood draw.
Collection Instructions
Freeze the included freezer brick for a minimum of 8 hours prior to your blood draw.
Complete the test registration (instructions HERE).
Please ensure that the name on the registration matches the name on your Rupa order EXACTLY. If it does not match, you may need to recollect your samples.
Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.
Test kit
Frozen freezer brick
Completed activation card
The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

NOTE: If you are in Alaska or Hawaii, Genova recommends shipping with dry ice to ensure your samples arrive frozen, as overnight shipping is not guaranteed due to the distance. If your samples do not arrive frozen, you may need to recollect. Please note on your activation card if you use dry ice.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.
Shipping
Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your samples back to the lab.
The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

Results
Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
