The P88-DIY Dietary Antigen Test analyzes IgE, IgG, IgG4, and complement (C3d) reactions to 88 foods.

Preparation & Timing

  • Hydrate the day before collection.

  • No special preparation or diet is needed.

Collection Instructions

❗️ NOTE: You will not need to use all of the included lancets. Additional lancets are included in case you need to repeat steps 10-20.

  1. Write the following information on the provided label:

    1. Patient's full name

    2. Patient's date of birth

    3. Collection date

    4. Collection time

  2. Place the label on the blood spot card.

  3. Unwrap the gauze.

  4. Unpeel the back of the bandage.

  5. Wash your hands with warm, soapy water for at least 30 seconds.

  6. Dry your hands with a clean towel.

  7. Warm your hands by doing any of the following for at least 30 seconds:

    1. Rub your hands together

    2. Shake your hands and arms

    3. Jump

    4. Walk or run in place

  8. Choose the finger you will use.

    1. It is recommended to use the ring finger on your non-dominant hand.

  9. Twist open the lancet.

  10. Set your hand on a hard surface.

  11. Press the small end of the lancet against the side of your chosen finger.

  12. Press firmly until you hear a click.

  13. Wipe away the first drop of blood with the gauze.

    1. If a blood drop does not form, gently massage your finger until one drop forms.

  14. Gently massage your finger to produce a large droplet of blood.

  15. Touch the droplet to one circle of the collection card.

    1. DO NOT touch the card with your finger.

    2. Fill the circle completely.

  16. Repeat steps 14-15 to fill all 5 circles on the card.

    1. If you cannot get enough blood, use another lancet to prick a second finger and repeat steps 10-15.

  17. Apply the bandage to your finger.

  18. Let the blood spot card dry for at least 30 minutes.

  19. Close the blood spot card.

  20. Place the blood spot card into the specimen bag.

  21. Seal the specimen bag.

  22. Complete your test requisition form.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

  • You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

Shipping

  • Samples should be shipped via UPS as soon as possible.

  • To prepare your samples for shipping,

    • Place the blood spot card into the specimen bag.

    • Seal the specimen bag.

    • Place the specimen bag into the UPS Lab Pack envelope.

    • Place your completed requisition form into the envelope.

    • Seal the UPS Lab Pack envelope.

    • Attach the shipping label.

  • Make a note of your tracking number so that you can track your sample back to the lab.

  • Take your samples to the closest UPS store or drop-off location.

    • DO NOT place your samples in a drop box.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-14 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
