The Cell Science Systems MethylDetox Profile and individual genetic marker tests analyze genetic mutations in several genes critical to the methylation pathway. These genetic mutations can lead to a variety of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders, and metabolic conditions.
Key Details
🍽️ DO NOT eat or drink for at least 30 minutes before sample collection.
🚚 Ship your samples back to the lab as soon as possible.
❌ DO NOT place your samples in a FedEx drop box.
Preparation & Timing
DO NOT eat or drink for at least 30 minutes before sample collection.
Collection Instructions
Complete the test requisition form.
Wash your hands with warm water.
Dry your hands with a clean towel.
Remove one swab from the packaging.
DO NOT touch the cotton tip of the swab with your fingers.
Open the plastic cap and slide the tip protector down the swab stick.
Rotate the swab firmly inside the cheek about 6 times.
Use a downward motion while rotating.
Focus on collecting cheek cells, not saliva.
Slide the tip protector back up the swab stick.
Close the swab cap firmly.
Repeat steps 3-7 for the second swab.
Write the following information on the swab return envelope.
Patient's full name
Date of collection
Time of collection
Place both swabs into the swab return envelope.
Seal the envelope.
Place the swab return envelope into the padded envelope.
Place the completed test requisition form into the padded envelope.
Seal the padded envelope.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.
Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
Ship your samples back to the lab as soon as possible.
To prepare your samples for shipping,
Place both swabs into the labeled swab return envelope.
Seal the swab return envelope.
Place the swab return envelope into the padded envelope.
Place the completed test requisition form into the padded envelope.
Place the padded envelope into the shipping mailer.
Seal the mailer.
Make a note of the tracking number so that you can track your samples back to the lab.
Take your samples to the nearest FedEx location.
DO NOT place your samples in a FedEx drop box.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 7-10 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
