These instructions are for all of Cell Science Systems' blood draw tests, including the ALCAT tests, Cellular Nutrition Assay, Methyl Detox Profile, CICA, and Telomere Length test. These tests provide important information about the root cause and prevention of chronic disease.

Preparation & Timing

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

  • You can get your blood drawn any day of the week.

  • If you are taking anti-inflammatory medications or anti-rejection therapy, consult your healthcare provider regarding your medication usage before the test. Certain medications may affect test results.

  • DO NOT take any medications or supplements for 3-4 hours before your blood draw.

    • If you get your blood drawn in the morning, take your medications and supplements after your blood draw.


Collection Instructions

  1. Read this article to prepare for your blood draw.

  2. Complete your test requisition form.

  3. Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.

    1. Test kit

    2. Completed test requisition form

  4. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

    1. Note: Your test kit may come with more tubes than needed. Please have the phlebotomist check the requisition form and linked instructions to confirm how many tubes you need to have drawn.


Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.


Shipping

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your samples back to the lab.

  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.


Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-10 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
