This is a single-marker test measuring glyphosate. Glyphosate is the world’s most widely produced herbicide and is the primary toxic chemical in Roundup™, as well as in many other herbicides.

Key Details

  • Ship your sample Monday - Thursday only.

  • You DO NOT need to register your kit online or complete a requisition form.

Preparation & Timing

  • Save the cardboard box - you will use this to ship back your sample.

  • If your practitioner has ordered Mosaic Diagnostics tests with multiple sample types, consult THIS DOCUMENT to determine the order in which you should collect your samples.

  • Ship your sample Monday - Thursday only.

Collection Instructions

  1. Write the following information on the barcode stickers.

    1. Your full name

    2. Date of collection

    3. Time of collection

  2. Check the box "Check if Frozen" on the barcode stickers.

  3. Place a barcode sticker on the collection cup.

  4. Choose the faucet from which you will collect water.

    1. Ideally, this should be the faucet from which you get your drinking water.

  5. Remove the cap from the collection tube.

  6. Set the cap down on a clean, dry surface with the inside facing up.

    1. DO NOT touch the inside of the tube.

    2. DO NOT touch the inside of the cap to your fingers or any surface.

  7. Turn the faucet on.

  8. Let the water run for 30 seconds.

  9. Move the collection cup into the water stream to collect the sample.

  10. Fill the container 1/2 to 3/4 full.

    1. DO NOT fill any more than 3/4 full.

  11. Screw the lid on tightly.

  12. Freeze the water sample and the provided gel pack for at least 4 hours.

    1. Keep the sample in the freezer until you are ready to ship it.

  13. When you are ready to ship, place the sample cup and absorbent sheet into the biohazard zip-lock bag.

  14. Place the frozen gel pack and the biohazard zip-lock bag into the silver thermo bag.

  15. Place the silver thermo bag into the test kit box.

  16. Place the cardboard box in the provided shipping envelope.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

  • You DO NOT need to register your kit online or complete a requisition form.

Shipping

  • Your sample must be frozen for a minimum of 4 hours prior to shipping.

  • To prepare your sample for shipping,

    • Place the sample cup into the biohazard zip-lock bag.

    • Place the absorbent sheet into the biohazard zip-lock bag.

    • Seal the biohazard zip-lock bag.

    • Place the frozen gel pack into the silver thermo bag.

    • Place the biohazard zip-lock bag into the silver thermo bag.

    • Seal the silver thermo bag.

    • Place the silver thermo bag into the cardboard test kit box.

    • Seal the cardboard box.

    • Place the cardboard box into the provided UPS Laboratory Pak.

  • Make a note of your tracking number (found on the Return Label) so that you can track your sample back to the lab.

  • Ship using UPS.

    • You can take your samples to the nearest UPS location.

    • DO NOT place your samples in a UPS drop box.

    • You can also schedule a UPS pickup by calling 1 (800) 742-5877.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 3-4 weeks after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.

  • Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
