Key Details
β DO NOT collect your sample when you are menstruating or when you have a UTI.
π½οΈ You must avoid certain foods for 48 hours before sample collection.
π§ Avoid excessive fluid intake the evening before sample collection.
π¨ Ensure the sample is completely dry before shipping it back to the lab.

Preparation & Timing
Avoid collecting samples when:
You are menstruating.
You have a urinary tract infection.
If you take any medications and supplements, consult your healthcare provider regarding collection timing.
Some supplements and medications may impact results.
DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your healthcare provider.
Avoid the following foods for 48 hours before sample collection.
Beverages
Tea
Coffee
Alcoholic beverages
Juice
Vegetables & Fruits
Avocado
Tomato
Banana
Grapes/Raisins
Kiwi
Pineapple
Plantain
Plums/Prunes
Seeds & Nuts
Walnut
Pecan
Other Foods
Ketchup
Jell-O
Vanilla extract
Aged and processed cheeses
Preservatives
Sorbic acid/Sorbate
Benzoic acid/Sodium benzoate
Avoid excessive fluid intake the evening before collection.
If your sample is too dilute, it will not be able to be analyzed.
Collection Instructions
On the collection strip, clearly write:
Your name
Your date of birth
Your gender
The collection date
You will collect your first morning urine.
Collect before eating or drinking.
If you have a nontraditional schedule, collect your first urine after your longest stretch of sleep.
Start urinating - do not collect the first portion of urine.
Start collecting urine mid-stream into any clean cup.
The test kit does not come with a collection cup.
Get the test collection strip.
DO NOT touch the absorbent pads.
Place the absorbent pad portion of the collection strip into the cup.
Leave the strip inside the cup for at least 15 seconds to ensure full saturation.
Take the collection strip out of the cup, briefly allowing it to drip freely.
Dry the collection strip by air drying or blow drying.
Air Dry
Air dry the collection strip for at least 12 hours.
The absorbent pad may drape and touch the collection strip.
Blow Dry
Dry the collection strip with a hair dryer set on "low." The air may be warm but NOT HOT.
Allow 1-3 inches between the dryer and the collection strip.
Dry both sides of the collection strip for 5 minutes per side (total drying time of 10 minutes).
Once the collection strip is fully dried, tuck the cover into the flap.
On the back of the strip, note the method you used to dry it.
Place the completely dry collection strip into the resealable bag and seal tightly.
Complete the test requisition form.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.
Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.
Shipping
Ship your sample back to the lab within 48 hours of collection.
To prepare your sample for shipping,
Ensure the collection strip is completely dry.
Tuck the strip cover into the flap.
On the back of the collection strip, note the method used to dry it.
Place the completely dry strip into the resealable bag.
Seal the bag tightly.
Place the resealable bag into the provided return mailer.
Place the completed test requisition form into the return mailer.
Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 5-10 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
