If you take any of the following medications, your results may be impacted:
Corticosteroids
Aminoglycoside antibiotics
Amphetamines
Antihistamines
Cephalosporin
Cephamycins
Penicillin
D-penicillamine
Phenothiazine derivatives
Discontinue the following foods and medications for 4 days prior to your blood draw
Non-essential medications
Do not discontinue any prescription medications without consulting your healthcare practitioner.
Acetaminophen
Over-the-counter cold remedies
Vitamins
Minerals
Amino acids
Herbal supplements
Enhanced sports drinks
Energy drinks
Vitamin waters
Avoid the following foods for 24 hours before your blood draw
Any products containing aspartame
Nutra-Sweet
Equal
Spoonful
MSG
Over-consumption of any single food
Fast overnight (for at least 12 hours) prior to your blood draw.
Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw.
Collection Instructions
Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw.
Complete the test registration (instructions HERE).
Please ensure that the name on the label matches the name on your Rupa order EXACTLY. If it does not match, you may need to recollect your samples.
Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.
Entire test kit
Frozen freezer brick
Completed activation card
Your blood draw can only be done and shipped Monday - Thursday.
The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

NOTE: If you are in Alaska or Hawaii, Genova recommends shipping with dry ice to ensure your samples arrive frozen, as overnight shipping is not guaranteed due to the distance. If your samples do not arrive frozen, you may need to recollect. Please note on your activation card if you use dry ice.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.
Shipping
Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

Results
Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
