The CytoDX measures cytokines in the blood to analyze immune system function.

Key Details

  • 🏥 Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

  • 💰 You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • 🧊 You must ship your sample on DRY ICE.

  • 📦 Samples must be shipped Monday - Wednesday only.

  • 📄 Please print the requisition form from your Rupa patient portal and send it back with your samples. Your sample must be CLEARLY labeled and arrive at the lab with a completed test requisition form for the lab to analyze it.

Preparation & Timing

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

  • You must ship your sample on DRY ICE.

    • Please reach out to the phlebotomist to see if they will provide dry ice or if you need to provide it.

  • Continue taking any nutritional supplements and medications unless your healthcare provider instructs you otherwise.

Collection Instructions

  1. Read this article to prepare for your blood draw.

  2. Complete the test requisition form.

    1. NOTE: Your sample will not be analyzed by the lab if it arrives at the lab without a completed test requisition form.

  3. Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.

    1. Test kit

    2. Completed test requisition form

    3. Dry ice (if not provided by the phlebotomist)

  4. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

    1. Please make sure the phlebotomist CLEARLY labels your sample. Unlabeled samples will not be analyzed by the lab.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

Please print the requisition form from your Rupa patient portal and send it back with your samples.

  • NOTE: Your sample will not be analyzed by the lab if your requisition form is not completed and sent with your sample.

  • You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.

📄 How to Complete Your Requisition

Shipping

NOTE: Samples must be shipped on dry ice to ensure they remain frozen and stable. Please consult with your blood draw location to determine if they supply dry ice or if you need to purchase your own. the nearest dry ice distributor HERE.

  • Your sample must be shipped Monday - Wednesday only.

  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 5-10 business days after your sample is received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
