Ayumetrix's genetics tests measure the levels of different genetic markers to help understand your risk of different diseases.

Key Details

  • Samples can be collected at any time.

  • Keep swabs clean, dry, and sealed until you collect your samples.

  • Rinse your mouth with water before collecting your samples.

  • Ship samples as soon as possible after collection.

Preparation & Timing

  • Your sample can be collected at any time.

  • Ensure the swabs stay dry and clean until you collect your samples.

Collection Instructions

  1. Rinse your mouth with cold water.

  2. Open one swab.

    1. DO NOT touch the tip of the swab.

    2. Keep the swab package intact.

  3. Rub the swab firmly on the inside of your cheek in a circular motion.

    1. Rub for about 15-20 seconds or about 20 circles.

  4. Dry the swab by shaking it in the air for a few minutes.

  5. Place the dried swab back in its original sleeve.

  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for each of the 3 swabs, switching cheeks between each one.

    1. Example:

      1. Swab 1 - right cheek

      2. Swab 2 - left cheek

      3. Swab 3 - right cheek

  7. Place the swab-containing sleeves in the provided paper envelope.

    1. DO NOT place the swabs in a plastic bag.

  8. Seal the envelope.

  9. Label the envelope with the following information:

    1. Your name

    2. Date of sample collection

    3. Your signature

  10. Complete the test requisition form.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

  • You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.

How to Complete Your Requisition

Shipping

  • Ship samples as soon as possible after collection.

  • To prepare your samples for shipping,

    • Place the swab-containing sleeves into the provided paper envelope.

    • Seal the envelope.

    • Label the envelope with your name, date of sample collection, and your signature.

    • Place the completed test requisition form into the return envelope.

    • Place the swab-containing envelope into the return envelope.

  • Make a note of the tracking number so that you can track your samples back to the lab.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 3-5 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
