Lactose Intolerance Breath Test
Updated over a week ago

Test Details

Lab Company: Aerodiagnostics
Sample Type: Breath
Collection Location: At Home

This test is used to help diagnose a condition called lactose intolerance. This condition occurs when the body cannot break down lactose (a sugar commonly found in dairy products) because the necessary enzyme is not present. When this happens, bacteria in the digestive system can produce gases like hydrogen and methane, which can cause symptoms like bloating, diarrhea, and flatulence.
