dnalife's blood spot tests measure a variety of genetic mutations that affect your overall health. These tests provide practical insights that help you to reduce disease risk and optimize your health.

You will need to complete several documents to hand to the DHL pickup driver.

You can collect at any time.
Collection Instructions
Write the following information on the blood spot card and test requisition form.
Your full name
Date of collection (DD-MM-YYYY)
Time of collection
Wash your hands with warm water for at least 30 seconds.
Dry your hands with a clean towel.
Try one of the following activities to increase circulation.
Rubbing your hands together
Swinging your arms around several times
Shaking your arms
Doing a few jumping jacks
Place the blood spot card on a level surface below your waist.
The collection circles should be facing upwards.
Choose the finger you will prick.
It is recommended that you choose the middle or ring finger on your non-dominant hand.
Wipe your chosen finger with the alcohol wipe.
Let your finger dry completely.
Dry for at least one minute.
Use a twisting motion to remove the cap (small end) from one lancet.
Press the small end of the lancet firmly against the SIDE of your finger until you hear a CLICK.
DO NOT prick your finger pad.
Wipe away the first drop of blood with the gauze pad.
Gently massage the entire length of your finger to form a blood drop.
DO NOT squeeze your finger.
Touch the blood drop to the center of one collection circle.
DO NOT touch the card with your finger.
DO NOT place more than one drop on each circle.
Fill all the circles on the blood spot card.
You can use the second lancet on another finger, repeating steps 8-12, if you cannot get enough blood.
Let the blood spot card dry for at least four hours.
Keep it in a cool, dry place.
Once the blood spot card is completely dry, place it into the plastic bag.
Place the plastic bag and completed test requisition form into the test kit box.
Place the test kit box into the return mailer.
When the DHL driver comes to pick up your sample, you must hand them the following three documents. You can find more information HERE.

Completed pro forma/commercial invoices

Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
You must complete your requisition and shipping forms and send them back with your samples.
Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
Ship your samples within 48 hours of collection.
To prepare your samples for shipping,
Let the blood spot card dry for at least four hours.
Place the DRY blood spot card into the plastic bag.
Place the plastic bag into the test kit box.
Place the completed test requisition (personal information) form into the test kit box.
Place the test kit box into the return mailer.
To schedule your DHL pickup, you can choose one of two options. More details can be found HERE.
Visit the DHL website HERE.
Select "NO" when asked if you need to create a label.
Enter your waybill number.
Complete your information. The pickup location must be the location where the test kit was shipped.
Call DHL at 1-800-225-5345.
Give the location of the pickup. The pickup location must be the location where the test kit was shipped.
Provide the address of the receiver (printed on the waybill).

DO NOT pay DHL anything yourself.
Choose "Express Worldwide" as the delivery option.
Provide the weight as 0.5 kg.
Package contents can be declared as, "Except Human Specimen, not IATA restricted as per 3.6.2.2.3.8."
Give DHL a pickup time.
Make a note of the reference number you are given.

Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 10-21 business days after your sample is received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
