Key Details
📦 Keep the kit box - you will use it to ship your sample back to the lab.
❌ You must avoid certain activities for 30 minutes before sample collection.
🚚 Ship your sample as soon as possible after collection.
❄️ If you cannot ship the same day you collect, place your sample in the refrigerator until you are ready to ship it.
Preparation & Timing
Avoid the following activities for 30 minutes before sample collection:
Eating
Drinking
Smoking
Collection Instructions
Complete the online test registration by scanning the QR code on your kit or visiting www.trudiagnostic.com/register.
Place the vial standing up on a flat surface.
Open the vial.
Peel open the bag containing the swab.
Remove the swab from the bag.
DO NOT touch the tip of the swab to your fingers or any other objects or surfaces.
Rub the tip of the swab firmly against the inside of your entire cheek 15-20 times.
Use a pressure similar to brushing your teeth.
The pressure should push your cheek out a little.
Rotate the swab as you rub.
Pick up the vial in one hand.
Slowly twist the swab into the vial using a corkscrew motion.
Push the swab to the bottom of the tube.
Move the swab up and down rapidly in the tube 10-15 times.
DO NOT move the swab out of the liquid.
Slowly remove the swab from the tube using a corkscrew motion.
Throw away the swab.
Put the cap on the vial tightly.
Place the vial into the biohazard bag.
If you cannot ship the same day you collect, place your sample in the refrigerator until you are ready to ship.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR TEST ONLINE. Your sample will not be analyzed until your test has been registered.
Shipping
Ship your sample via USPS as soon as possible.
If you cannot ship the same day you collect, place your sample in the refrigerator until you are ready to ship it.
To prepare your sample for shipping,
Place the specimen vial into the biohazard bag.
Seal the biohazard bag.
Place the extra barcode label into the kit box.
Place the biohazard bag into the kit box.
Peel the tape strip from the top flap of the box to seal it.
Place the return address label on top of the box.
Place the "Exempt Human Specimen" label on the bottom left of the box.
DO NOT cover the postage or return address labels.
Make a note of the tracking number on the label so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 2-3 weeks after your sample is received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
