The COVID-19 IgG Antibody test helps determine if a patient has previously been infected with COVID-19.

Key Details

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

    • Rupa Health recommends getting your blood drawn and sample shipped Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.

  • Hydrate prior to your blood draw.

Preparation & Timing

  • Hydrate prior to your blood draw.

  • Freeze the provided freezer brick overnight prior to your blood draw.

Collection Instructions

  1. Bring the test kit, frozen ice pack, and completed test requisition form to your blood draw appointment.

  2. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

  • Instructions on how to fill out your requisition can be found HERE (cash pay) and HERE (insurance pay).

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.

    • DO NOT register your test online with Genova.

Shipping

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return envelope so that you may track your samples back to the lab.

  • The phlebotomist will ship your samples for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

    • Samples must be shipped within 24 hours of collection.

  • Rupa Health recommends getting your blood drawn and sample shipped Monday - Thursday only to avoid shipment delays.

Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.

  • Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.

  • Your provider may choose to release your results to you. Rupa cannot release your results without provider authorization.
