Preparation & Timing
It is recommended to collect your sample first thing in the morning, immediately after you wake up.
Avoid the following activities for 30 minutes before sample collection.
Eating
Drinking
Smoking
Chewing gum
Brushing your teeth
Collection Instructions
It is recommended to collect your sample first thing in the morning, immediately after you wake up.
Complete the online test registration by scanning the QR code on your kit or visiting https://kit.3x4.io/pkit. Failing to register your test may lead to a recollection and additional fees.
Wash your hands. Dry with a clean towel.
Place the vial upright on a flat surface.
Tap the vial gently 2-3 times to concentrate all liquid to the bottom.
Open the vial.
DO NOT touch or discard the liquid.
Unwrap the swab.
DO NOT touch the end that will go in your mouth.
Rub the tip of the swab firmly against the inside of your cheek 15-20 times.
Use the same amount of pressure you'd use to brush your teeth.
Rotate the tip as you swab.
Cover your whole cheek from top to bottom and side to side.
Ensure the swab tip does not touch anything but your cheek.
Pick up the vial in one hand.
Slowly insert and twist the swab into the vial.
Use a corkscrew motion.
Push the swab to the bottom of the vial.
Hold the vial steady.
Move the swab rapidly up and down 10-15 times inside the vial.
The swab should remain in the liquid the entire time.
Slowly twist the swab to remove it from the vial.
Use a corkscrew motion.
Dispose of the swab.
Seal the vial tightly.
Place the vial into the included zip lock bag.
Place the zip lock bag into the packaging tube.
Take a picture of or write down the kit code number.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

Shipping
To prepare your sample for shipping,
Ensure you have registered your test online. Follow the instructions HERE.
Place the sample vial into the zip lock bag.
Place the zip lock bag into the packaging tube.
Place the packaging tube into the return mailer.
Seal the return mailer.
Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.
Check the shipping label to see which shipping carrier you will use - USPS or FedEx.
Take your sample to the nearest USPS or FedEx shipping location.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 28 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
