IGeneX's tests are designed to detect tick-borne disease infections. These instructions apply to the IgXSpot standalone tests and panels containing the IgXSpot tests.

Preparation & Timing

  • Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

  • Your sample must be drawn and shipped on the same day, Monday - Wednesday only.

Collection Instructions

  1. Read this article to prepare for your blood draw.

  2. PRINT and COMPLETE your test requisition form.

    1. This form was emailed to you from the Rupa Health team.

    2. You can also find it in your Rupa Health patient portal.

  3. Bring the following items with you to your blood draw appointment.

    1. Test kit

    2. Completed test requisition form

  4. The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.

    1. Your sample must be drawn and shipped on the same day, Monday - Wednesday only.

    2. Your kit may come with more tubes than needed. Have the phlebotomist check the requisition form and collection instructions to ensure only the necessary tubes are drawn.


Requisition & Payment

  • Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.

YOU MUST PRINT YOUR TEST REQUISITION FORM FROM YOUR RUPA PATIENT PORTAL.

  • This form was also emailed to you from the Rupa Health team.

DO NOT use the blank requisition form that came in your test kit, as it does not have all of the required information. If you use the form from your kit, you may be required to recollect your samples.

  • You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.

    • Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on this form.


Shipping

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track your sample back to the lab.

  • The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.

    • Your sample must be drawn and shipped on the same day, Monday - Wednesday only.


Results

  • Results should be released to your provider 10 business days after samples are received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
