🚚 Ship samples as soon as possible, Monday - Wednesday ONLY.
📦 Ship the white-top tube via FedEx.
📦 Ship the swab tube via USPS.
Preparation & Timing
Avoid the antibiotics for 4 weeks before sample collection.
DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your healthcare provider.
Avoid probiotic supplements for 5 days before sample collection.
DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your healthcare provider.
Avoid antifungals for 3 days before sample collection.
DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your healthcare provider.
Avoid the following medications for 2 days before sample collection.
Digestive enzymes
Mineral oil
Castor oil
Other laxatives
Antacids
Aspirin
Substances containing barium
Substances containing bismuth
Collection Instructions
Write the following information on the WHITE-top tube.
Patient's full name
Patient's date of birth
Date of collection
Urinate before collection.
Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
Collect stool in the supplied collection container.
DO NOT contaminate the stool with urine or water.
TIP: It may help to put plastic wrap over the toilet and then place the collection container on top of the plastic. You could also collect your stool on the plastic wrap.
Open the swab collection tube by twisting and pulling.
DO NOT touch the swab to any surface (including your fingers).
Lightly touch the swab tip to the stool in the collection tray.
You only need a slight dab of stool on the swab.
Place the swab back in the tube.
Make sure you hear a CLICK.
Place the swab tube into the USPS mailer.
Put on the glove.
Remove the cap from the WHITE-top tube.
This tube does not contain a liquid preservative.
Use the attached spoon to transfer stool from different areas of the sample into the tube.
Add stool until it reaches the FILL LINE.
DO NOT overfill.
Screw the cap on tightly.
DO NOT shake.
Place the WHITE-top tube into the biohazard bag.
Place the Polar Ice Pack into the pouch on the back of the bag with the WHITE-top tube.
Place the bag with the WHITE-top tube into the freezer. Freeze overnight.
Make a note of the kit ID. This ID can be found on your test kit box and the sample tubes.
Complete the paper requisition form.
Complete the following three digital forms by visiting https://tinyhealth.com/activate. YOUR RESULTS CAN NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL THESE FORMS ARE COMPLETE.

Your kit has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.
Make a note of the kit ID. This ID can be found on your test kit box and the sample tubes.
You must complete your requisition form and send it back with your samples.
You must also complete the following three online forms:

Shipping
Ship your samples Monday - Wednesday ONLY.
The swab sample should be shipped within 5 days of collection.
The sample in the white-top tube should be shipped within 8 days of collection.
To prepare your swab sample for shipping,
Place the swab collection tube into the provided USPS mailer.
Seal the USPS mailer.
To prepare your other sample for shipping,
Remove the bag containing the WHITE-top tube from the freezer.
Place the biohazard bag and Polar Ice Pack into the test kit box.
Place the completed test requisition form into the test kit box.
Seal the test kit box.
Place the test kit box into the provided FedEx Clinical Pak.
Seal the FedEx Clinical Pak.
Place the label on the FedEx Clinical Pak.
Make a note of the tracking numbers on the return mailers so that you can track your samples back to the labs.
Take your samples to the nearest FedEx and USPS locations.
DO NOT place your samples in a drop box.
Results
Results should be released to your provider approximately 4 weeks after samples are received at the labs. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
