This test analyzes the balance of bacteria in your baby's gut, pinpointing specific strains and their effects on health, such as digestion and gut inflammation. Designed for children aged 0 to 3, it provides essential insights into your child’s gut health.

Key Details

  • 💊 You must avoid certain medications before sample collection.

  • 📄 You must complete the test registration, sample survey, and health history survey before your child's results can be released.

Preparation & Timing

  • Avoid the antibiotics for 4 weeks before sample collection.

    • DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your child's healthcare provider.

  • Avoid probiotic supplements for 5 days before sample collection.

    • DO NOT discontinue prescription medications without consulting your child's healthcare provider.

Collection Instructions

  1. Wait for your child to have a bowel movement.

  2. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.

  3. Lay the soiled diaper on a clean surface.

  4. Open the swab collection tube by twisting and pulling.

  5. Lightly touch the swab tip to the soiled diaper.

    1. You only need a slight dab of stool on the swab.

    2. DO NOT touch the swab with any unsoiled piece of diaper.

  6. Place the swab back in the tube.

    1. Make sure you hear a CLICK.

  7. Place the swab tube into the USPS mailer.

  8. Make a note of the kit ID. This ID can be found on the test kit box and the sample tubes.

  9. Complete the following three forms by visiting https://tinyhealth.com/activate. RESULTS CAN NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL THESE FORMS ARE COMPLETE.

    1. Test registration

    2. Sample survey

    3. Health history survey

📄 How to Complete the Online Forms

Requisition & Payment

  • The test has been prepaid. You DO NOT need to pay anything extra.

  • Make a note of the kit ID. This ID can be found on the test kit box and the sample tubes.

  • You must also complete the following three online forms:

    • Test registration

    • Sample survey

    • Health history survey

📄 How to Complete the Online Forms

❗️ RESULTS CANNOT BE RELEASED UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE TEST REGISTRATION & SURVEYS.

Shipping

  • Ship the sample via USPS within 5 days of collection.

  • To prepare the sample for shipping,

    • Place the swab collection tube into the provided USPS mailer.

    • Seal the USPS mailer.

  • Make a note of the tracking number on the return mailer so that you can track the sample back to the lab.

  • Take the sample to the nearest USPS location.

    • DO NOT place the sample in a drop box.

Results

  • Results should be released to your child's provider approximately 4 weeks after the sample is received at the lab. Rupa Health cannot guarantee processing time.
