This test is an add-on to the CV Health or CV Health Plus Genomics tests. It measures a patient's Vitamin D levels.
Key Details
Sample collection must be performed by a phlebotomist.

You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
Avoid drinking alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to sample collection.
Avoid exercise for at least 12 hours prior to sample collection.
Fast overnight (at least 12 hours) prior to sample collection.
Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw. Bring it to your blood draw.
The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.
Preparation & Timing

If you take aspirin or cholesterol-lowering drugs, consult your healthcare practitioner prior to sample collection.
If you are taking S-adenosyl-methionine, methotrexate, carbamazepine, phenytoin, nitrous oxide, anti-convulsants, or 6-azauridine triacetates, your homocysteine results may be inaccurate.

Collection Instructions
Freeze the provided freezer brick for at least 8 hours prior to your blood draw.
Bring the entire test kit, frozen freezer brick, saliva samples (for the CV Health Plus Genomics™ test), and completed test requisition form with you to your blood draw appointment.
Your blood draw can only be done and shipped Monday - Thursday.
The phlebotomist will collect, prepare, and ship your sample for you.
Requisition & Payment
Your kit has been prepaid. You may need to pay a separate fee for phlebotomy.
Instructions on how to fill out your requisition can be found HERE (cash pay).
Since you pre-paid for your tests, you do not need to fill in the payment information on any of these forms.
Shipping
The phlebotomist will ship your sample for you using the materials provided in the test kit.
Samples can only be shipped Monday - Thursday.
Results
Results should be released to your provider 7-21 business days after samples are received at the lab. We cannot guarantee processing time.
Your provider will notify you when your results are in and schedule a follow-up appointment for you to review them together.
Your provider may choose to release your results to you. Rupa cannot release your results without provider authorization.
